Tips for kindergarten readiness during the global pandemic

For parents of children 3 to 5 years old

Many children will start kindergarten this fall without fully reaping the benefit of an early school experience in daycare. Parents who are concerned that children will be “behind” can rest assured that while being at home is different, learning happens everywhere! In fact, at this age, parents are children’s most influential teachers and play is the medium in which they learn. Know that the play and exploration they are doing at home will prepare them for kindergarten.

A child’s first school experiences can influence the way he or she relates to others for the rest of life. It’s important to make sure that when your child begins school, they are developmentally ready to learn and participate in classroom activities. This workshop will offer parents support and direction in fostering and encouraging their child’s readiness for kindergarten, and help them succeed in school.
