Day treatment classrooms at SickKids CCMH pivoting to virtual starting April 7

The Toronto District School Board announced today that all schools in Toronto will be closed to in-person learning starting Wednesday, April 7, 2021 and will remain closed up to and including Sunday, April 18, 2021 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

This announcement means that the TDSB classrooms in our Day Treatment program (as part of Intensive Services for Children and Intensive Services for Youth) will switch to remote learning starting tomorrow and continuing until April 18. Both onsite and virtual Day Treatment program services will remain available based on client needs. Clients may speak with their clinician if they have any questions.

We are reviewing the situation daily and will provide updates of any changes – please watch this space.

SickKids CCMH is part of the SickKids mental health continuum of services including hospital services and the TeleLink Mental Health Program which offers both urban and rural telepsychiatry virtual services – these services are open as well.
