About Us

How You Can Help

Make a donation

Your donation to The Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids through the SickKids Foundation supports our development of a program of research to improve knowledge with respect to child and youth mental health and support better outcomes.

It also offers us the means to implement specific projects designed to address particular areas of need that are not directly covered by our public funding.

Our sincere thanks to our generous donors and their special interest in child and youth mental health.

All donations are managed by the SickKids Foundation. To ensure your gift is properly directed, on the Donation Information page, click the box “For a specific area or purpose.” Then in the “Area of Purpose” text box, type “CCMH or Centre for Community Mental Health.”  A tax receipt will be issued by SickKids Foundation for all online donations made.

Volunteer

Our volunteers enrich the services we offer to our clients and families.

Introduction to Volunteer Program

Our Centre values the participation of volunteers in its programs and services. Being a volunteer is a great way to give back to your community and to develop your own potential. Our volunteer program offers opportunities both within our client services and some of our research and administrative functions.

Please note that volunteers do not do clinical work. Volunteer positions are not designed as an academic course or evaluation placement.

If you are interested in field placements, internships, residencies and externships, please visit our Research and Education page.
