Leaders: Harness the deep transformational power of listening in this new leadership training

image of post it note with listen learn lead on it for leadership training

Deliberately focus your listening to deepen understanding, build trust, and transform relationships.

Leaders become more influential when they learn to deliberately focus their attention while listening. Most of us have unconscious listening habits, often leading to asking questions to solicit the information we believe is important or necessary. Listening is not a passive skill, as people who practice active listening or validation know. These can contribute positively to understanding, but they can also be misleading. Transform your leadership through the power of listening in this new leadership training from Marion Langford.

There is another way of listening, that can – when practiced with sincerity – lead to radically new appreciation and understanding between people. It will not only result in better relationships, it will change you too, and increase the trust and respect between a leader and the people they work with.

Learning objectives:

  • To explore and name current listening habits (and their pros and cons).
  • To practice a new way of listening.
  • Develop a variety of methods for confirming your understanding of what you heard.
  • Identify a relationship you’d like to transform, and develop a plan for bringing this listening practice to that relationship.

Reserve your spot to go beyond active listening and validation and learn a powerful listening approach that deepens understanding, builds stronger connections, and elevates your leadership.
