Families First Parenting Workshops

Hearts in tune, minds will bloom: Building healthy connections to support early learning

(for families/parents of children aged 0 to 6)

In this workshop, we will work alongside caregivers to strengthen co-regulation skills and explore the importance of tuning in to children’s emotions before focusing on academic learning. The second half of the session will highlight how children develop and learn through play, and will offer practical, developmentally appropriate ideas for families to try at home.

Families will leave with a takeaway resource featuring play-based learning ideas to support connection and early development.

When: Tuesday, Jan. 27; 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Presenters:

Zahra Patel, BA, RECE and Larisa Levalds, MA (Counselling Psych.), RP

Workshop will be run on a videoconferencing platform.
