Washrooms at our treatment centres are now gender neutral to reflect our commitment to building an inclusive environment where we promote a sense of safety, belonging, community and accessibility.
Gender-neutral washrooms are designed to accommodate everyone, including caregivers with young children, and those who are transgender, non-binary, or gender fluid.
The new signage for our washrooms reflects that each is gender neutral. The signage focuses on the features available in each washroom, not the gender of the person using them.
Accessing a washroom is a basic physical need and everyone is welcome to use the washroom of their choice.
You will find more information about our new washrooms on our lobby screens, and on posters outside of our new gender-neutral multi-stall washrooms at our Sheppard site.
