SickKids, CAMH, and GH-CCMH launch one-stop information hub to navigate mental health services

Summary: Thriving Minds, a partnership between SickKids, CAMH, and GH-CCMH, launches a comprehensive website for mental health programs, services and support.

Finding the right mental health support can be confusing and stressful. That is why the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH), and The Garry Hurvitz Community Centre for Mental Health at SickKids (GH-CCMH) have joined forces to launch the Thriving Minds Information Hub—a new online resource that brings together trusted mental health information, programs, and services for children, youth, families and health-care providers.

The Information Hub features dedicated pages for youth and caregivers, guidance on topics like mood, anxiety, substance use, eating disorders, as well as quick access to crisis support—crafted by experts at SickKids, CAMH and GH-CCMH, and informed by patient partners. Whether you want to learn about accessing services or looking for self-help tools, the hub brings everything together on one trusted platform.

Thriving Minds is a collaboration that brings together SickKids, CAMH and GH-CCMH on a singular mission: to ensure that every child, youth and family can experience seamless mental health care.

In June 2024, the three organizations signed a memorandum of understanding committing to jointly reimagine access to care for children and youth in Ontario – identifying building an information hub to help patients, families and referrers navigate the system as the first step.

“Our vision is to create a truly integrated system of mental health care, where children, youth, and their families can easily navigate pathways to the support they need,” says Dr. Louise Gallagher, Chief, Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative, SickKids & CAMH and lead of Thriving Minds. “By offering reliable, up-to-date information and resources, we’re building a foundation for sustainable, coordinated care that empowers young people and those who support them, every step of the way.”
