Neill Carson

Neill Carson

Neill Carson is Executive Director at The Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids (GH-CCMH). He is a registered social worker with 30 years of clinical and administrative experience in child and youth mental health, adult mental health and dual diagnosis. Prior to coming to GH-CCMH at SickKids in 2017 he was Executive Director of Ambulatory Care and Structured Treatments at CAMH. Neill is on the Board of Directors at Fred Victor Centre and was the President and Chair of the Board at Mainstay Housing for three years.

Neill received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from the University of Toronto, and his Master of Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University. His continuing education includes certificates in Evidence Based Administration, Collaborative Leadership and in Teaching in Clinical Settings. He also completed the Centering Black Youth Experience certificate provided to the Toronto child and youth mental health sector by YouthRex.

Neill is committed to extending the reach of child and youth mental health services to meet the changing needs of kids and families and to fostering an equitable and diverse service environment at the Centre that is welcoming and responsive for all who use it.
